Feelin like Fourth of July weather out here!
This week’s been interesting. I actually can’t remember a whole lot of what happened, haha.
The highlight of the week was, of course, zone conference. Ilagan zone was joined with the Tuguegarao zones, so I got to go back to Tugue for a day, which was cool. The zone conference was wonderful! I learned so much. We mostly talked a lot about the changes that have been made in the mission since Pres Rahlf got here in order to make the mission ‘a hastening mission.’ It’s pretty amazing. this mission has already come such a long way, and you can feel how the changes they have made are contributing to greater success and qualify us all for many more miracles. One part of the conference, given by the AP’s, was focused on Accountability. I have never realized before how crucially important accountability is for success, and especially for improvement. If we are striving to be accountable, we will take responsibility for what we have been given or for our assignments, and see immensely more success. It definitely applies to missionary work, but as it is an eternal principle, it applies to all aspects of our lives–if we choose to be accountable for our grades, we’ll do better in school. If we choose to be accountable in our jobs, we’ll have more success. when our leaders ask us to be accountable–whether teachers, coaches, bosses, mission leaders, church leaders, and especially God–they do so because they know we will be more successful if we strive to be accountable.
I”m so excited to hear about and see pictures from Clara’s baptism! I am so happy for her and Kiera. They look absolutely brimming with joy. I’m glad Clara can recognize the Spirit and feel of the important decision she has just made.
I don’t have much else to say about this week–we had a scary encounter with a dog, and also a baby carabao (which is like a cow) and then got attacked by I swear a billion little kids…it’s been a weird week. lots of appointments that fell through, and then I started getting sick on friday, felt worse on saturday, was really sick yesterday and not doing too great today, either. hopefully it won’t last too much longer.
The Lord loves you all so much! I know this Church is true and that our Heavenly Father is always there for us. One thing Sis Barril told me in a pouch to me (pouch is like…mail) is that if life wasn’t hard, we would have no need for miracles. Always remember that the Lord is ready and willing to bless us with miracles, but sometimes we have to wait and endure for a while before they come. And like President Rahlf always says, “You deserve all the blessings of heaven!” Heavenly Father loves us so much and wants to give us those. He just needs us to continue forward and hold onto our faith, remember on Whom we built our foundation and that He has all power to deliver and strengthen us. I know Christ is our Savior and that He lives!
I love you all!
